(Fort McMurray, AB, November 30, 2017) - The Kirschner Family Community Art Gallery at MacDonald Island Park is pleased to welcome the Beyond Colour exhibition from the Wood Buffalo Arts & Crafts Guild to the gallery in December.
The Wood Buffalo Arts & Crafts Guild is one of the longest running art groups within the Wood Buffalo region. The Beyond Colour exhibition will showcase the works of 13 artists, including Barbara Madden, Claire Antoine, Colleen Cameron, David Ball, Elisabeth Matte, Joyce Locke, Trevor Snook, Karen Dionne, Margaret Payne, Margie Cunningham, Sonia Burke Smith, Tammy Huggan and Vera Fustic. It is described as a collection of works from various experienced artists providing a show packed with a range of creativity and energy.
“We are pleased to host this multi-artist exhibition to showcase a collection of works from these talented artists.” said Rachel Orser, Interim Chief Executive Officer of the Regional Recreation Corporation of Wood Buffalo. “This exhibition allows the opportunity for us to bring together a wide range of experienced artists who each bring forth a combination of various skills, talent, backgrounds and techniques that we are excited to have on display for the community to enjoy.”
The opening reception for the Beyond Colour exhibition takes place at 7:00pm on December 7th at the Kirschner Family Community Art Gallery. Light refreshments will be served and all community members are invited to attend. The Beyond Colour exhibition will be available for viewing from December 4th 2017 – February 1st 2018.
