(Fort McMurray, AB, April 13, 2017) - This summer, the Regional Recreation Corporation of Wood Buffalo will introduce the new Fort McMurray Flea Market, an opportunity for vendors of used goods, owners of home-based businesses, sellers of vintage wares and creators of arts and crafts to connect with members of the community in a traditional “flea market” style event.
The Fort McMurray Flea Market will be hosted outdoors at MacDonald Island Park from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm on June 10, July 8, August 12 and September 9. Vendors interested in attending are asked to register for a booth rental in order to participate in this event.
“This event is designed to capture the flea-market experience found in other communities through focusing on the sale of used and new goods, vintage wares and arts and crafts items,” said Rachel Orser, Interim Chief Executive Officer of the RRC “Individuals and organizations that may be seeking opportunities to sell these items in a one-stop shop style event will find this the ideal opportunity to connect with the public on some of those beautiful summer Saturdays we experience in Fort McMurray.”
Currently, the Fort McMurray Flea Market is seeking vendors interested in registering to participate in the market this summer. More information on registration and booth rental for the Fort McMurray Flea Market can be found at RRCWB.ca/events.
