Supporting charity & non- profit events

at RRC facilities

Registered non-profit organizations or registered charitable organizations who host an event at an RRC facility may be eligible to receive the following supports to enhance their fundraising efforts:

  • 25% reduction on the cost of event room rentals

  • 20% discount on audio visual equipment

  • up to two (2) weeks of free in-venue digital marketing support up to two (2) times per year (subject to availability and eligibility)

  • social post to promote the event (subject to availability)

  • opportunity to request a canopy lighting (subject to availability and eligibility)

  • opportunity to list event on the MIP Website (only available for MIP hosted events)

Organizations requesting Event Support must be a registered non-profit organization or registered charitable organization operating within the municipal boundaries of the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo.

 RRC Event Support does not extend to: political or advocacy groups, religious organizations (with the exception of secular activities open to those of all faiths), individual pursuits, an organization whose values are at odds with those of the RRC, or third party fundraisers for organizations that the RRC directly contributes to.

 RRC Event Support does not extend to discounts on green fees at Miskanaw Golf Club, discounts on rentals for RRC amenities that fall under sport bookings or ice rentals, or discounts on RRC food & beverage services. Additionally, the RRC reserves the right to remove, reduce or restrict any event support from the list above at the sole discretion of the RRC.

 All requests for event support must be completed fourteen (14) business days in advance of the event date.
