parking lot space at MIP
About:
During the spring and summer months, RRC provides up to 5,000 sq. ft of space in the parking lot at MacDonald Island Park for registered non-profit organizations or registered charitable organizations to host fundraising BBQs.
Organizations applying for this space are responsible for:
securing a Special Event Permit (RMWB)
securing a Special Event Notification (AHS)
any and all equipment, supplies and personnel necessary to host their fundraising BBQ
The parking lot location is determined by the RRC and requests for parking lot space at MIP is subject to limited availability.
Eligibility:
Organizations requesting parking lot space at MIP must be a registered non-profit organization or registered charitable organization operating within the municipal boundaries of the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo. Charity or non-profit registration numbers may be requested prior to the RRC approving any support requests.
The RRC is unable to support: political or advocacy groups, religious organizations (with the exception of secular activities open to those of all faiths), individual pursuits, an organization whose values are at odds with those of the RRC, or third party fundraisers for organizations that the RRC directly contributes to.
Requests for parking lots space at MIP are subject to review and approval from the RRC. The RRC reserves the right to decline any request for any reason at the sole discretion of the RRC.
All requests must be completed forty five (45) business days in advance of intended fundraising event day.
