Celebrate New Year’s Eve at The Craze presented by Syncrude

(Fort McMurray, December 4, 2019) - The Craze presented by Syncrude is back to celebrate the end of 2019 and the arrival of the New Year. The Regional Recreation Corporation of Wood Buffalo (RRC) is excited to welcome the community for a day of free family activities and community celebration.

From 12 – 5 p.m. on December 31st families can enjoy free events and activities for all ages at the Suncor Community Leisure Centre and Shell Place. The day will end with the Annual New Year’s Eve Fireworks display at 5:35 p.m.

In 2019, The Craze presented by Syncrude will feature live entertainment from Bob the Builder and Magician Donovan Day on the MIX 103.7 & 100.5 CRUZ FM Main Stage. Other entertainment highlights include meet and greets with Paw Patrol’s Skye and Chase presented by Kidomo Inc.

Activities at The Craze presented by Syncrude this year include:

  • Face Painters

  • Ledcor Bouncy Castles

  • Enbridge Craft Carnival

  • Learn to Curl with the Oil Sands Curling Club

  • WipeOut presented by Country 93.3 and 97.9 ROCK at the Syncrude Aquatic Centre

  • Canadian Natural Indoor Family Skate with the Oil Barons

  • CNOOC Speed Climb

  • Drop in Badminton and Pickle Ball at the Don Scott McMurray Law Office Badminton Centre

  • Kid’s Play Zone at the Indoor Turf Field House at Shell Place

  • Work Out of the Day at the High Performance Training Centre in Shell Place

  • Outdoor Family Skate*

  • Dog Sled Rides with Mush McMurray*

  • CEDA Hay Rides*

*Outdoor activities are subject to change due to weather conditions.

To better serve guests, this year character experiences will be provided by registration with a limited number of guests per time slot. This year’s character experiences will feature Paw Patrol pups. Registration is free and will open at 10 a.m. on Friday, December 6, 2019. Space is limited.
