New: Temporary Unionized Staff Recall - Backshop Staff - May 2, 2020
As you may be aware, the Government of Alberta’s COVID-19 relaunch strategy includes the reopening of Alberta Golf courses as early as next week (May 4) with restrictions. As a result of the Spring River Break-Up, the course and facilities at Miskanaw Golf Club have experienced some flooding. As the water continues to recede, assessment is underway and the RRC is working toward preparing the course for the upcoming season, and as such we will open the following unionized positions for temporary recall.

This position will need to be available to report to work as early as May 6
ONE Team members will be recalled based on seniority of those who express their interest for the Temporary Recall
Position details and scope of work:
Back Shop 1 ($16.65/Hour) (2 Positions)
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
Minimum enrollment in High School or GED Program
Must be 15 years of age or older
Valid Drivers Permit
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS:
This position works various shifts including evenings, holidays and weekends as required.
Must have the ability to bend, squat and frequently lift 25 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
Work tasks are performed indoors and outdoors. Temperatures may vary.
Back Shop 2 ($18.40/hour) (2 Positions)
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
Minimum enrollment in High School or GED Program
Must be 15 years of age or older
Valid Drivers Permit
Minimum 6 (six) months to 1 (one) year of customer service experience is required
Enthusiastic and outgoing personality
Basic understanding of golf is an asset
Superior knowledge of golf and tournament operations is an asset
Must obtain criminal record check for review and acceptance

TEMPORARY UNIONIZED STAFF RECALL - Grounds, May 2, 2020
As you may be aware, the Government of Alberta’s COVID-19 relaunch strategy includes the reopening of Alberta Golf courses as early as next week (May 4) with restrictions. As a result of the Spring River Break-Up, the course and facilities at Miskanaw Golf Club have experienced some flooding. As the water continues to recede, assessment is underway and we are seeing some positive signs but there is a significant amount of clean up work to be done on the course beginning Monday May 4, 2020. As we work toward preparing the course for the upcoming season, we will open approximately 30 Full-Time positions for ONE Team members to be temporarily recalled to return to work to participate in the Golf course clean-up.
These positions will be posted for 24 hours
Team members will be required to email HR Services, with their interest for this temporary recall
Once HR contacts a team member, they will need to be available to be working within 12 hours
ONE Team members will be recalled based on seniority of those who express their interest for the Temporary Recall

Able to frequently lift 25lbs-50lbs
Able to frequently bend/twist

Frequent standing/walking outdoors and on uneven ground conditions
Able to work while wearing a half face respirator/N95
