A summer of fun in 2021 with the Syncrude Summer Adventure Camps in Fort McMurray and Anzac

(Fort McMurray, June 18, 2021) – The Regional Recreation Corporation of Wood Buffalo (RRC) is pleased to announce the Syncrude Summer Adventure Camps are returning to MacDonald Island Park and the Anzac Recreation Centre presented by CNOOC for another summer of fun.

The Syncrude Summer Adventure Camps provide opportunities for kids in the Wood Buffalo region aged 4-12 to participate in fun and inclusive camp experiences. Campers can choose from weekly day camps focused on adventure, expression and positive learning through creativity and play.

Given operational and public health guidelines in place for recreation centres, the RRC has developed and implemented risk reduction plans for the safe operations of summer camps this year.

“Every year, summer campers fill our facilities in Fort McMurray and Anzac with the sounds of excitement and fun,” says Graig Walsh, CEO. “The Syncrude Summer Adventure Camp offers children an opportunity to learn, play and grow, while making new friends, exploring the many amenities we offer, and enjoying the summer. We are grateful to have Syncrude on board as a partner to present the camps again this year.”

Thanks to Syncrude’s support, the RRC can continue to offer accessible camps to the Wood Buffalo community.

Registration for Syncrude Summer Adventure Camps is now available at macdonaldisland.ca/camps or at Guest Services at the Suncor Community Leisure Centre and the Anzac Recreation Centre presented by CNOOC. Campers can register up to two weeks in advance.
