MacDonald Island Park to serve as host venue of 2019 Remembrance Day ceremony
(Fort McMurray, November 6, 2019) - MacDonald Island Park is honoured to be the host venue for the annual Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 165 Remembrance Day ceremony on Monday, November 11.
The ceremony will take place at the Suncor Community Leisure Centre and will include representatives from the Wood Buffalo detachment of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, Fort McMurray Fire Fighters Local 2494, RMWB Emergency Services, the Fort McMurray Army Cadet Corps 2803, and 868 Rotary Northstar Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron, among other community groups.
The 2019 Remembrance Day Ceremony will take place in the CNOOC Nexen Field House. Doors open at 8:30 a.m., and the ceremony will begin at 9:30 a.m. After the conclusion of the initial portion of the ceremony at MacDonald Island Park, the ceremony will continue at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No.165 located at 9317 Huggard Street in Waterways.
