The Craze presented by Syncrude celebrates the arrival of 2023 with Fort McMurray Wood Buffalo community

(Fort McMurray, AB – January 2, 2023) - The Craze presented by Syncrude celebrated the new year at MacDonald Island Park on December 31, 2022 as Fort McMurray Wood Buffalo welcomed 2023.

Community residents of all ages celebrated together at MacDonald Island Park with a day of fun, family-friendly and free events. The Craze presented by Syncrude culminated in the Annual Grand Finale Fireworks, which was live-streamed so friends and family from across the country and around the world could join the festivities.

“Over the years, The Craze presented by Syncrude has become a holiday season tradition in our community,” said Graig Walsh, Chief Executive Officer of the Regional Recreation Corporation of Wood Buffalo. “It was a joy to return this year to the usual format, and to welcome families to once again gather, connect and play at MacDonald Island Park to celebrate the end of 2022 and ring in a new year.”
